Duncan Brazzil - Uninterrupted Film Festival
I really enjoyed this piece of work from Duncan Brazzil for the Uninterrupted Film Festival. The stop motion plus all the texture I feel really fit the Uninterrupted brand. All the moving type really keeps you engaged with what is on the screen.
Kikin Rebrand by Koto
First off Koto is one of my favorite agencies. Their work is always really good. I feel like they are really pushing branding further especially with how they tell the story of the work they have created. When I started designing most case studies contained no motion work at all, but now we are seeing a moment where motion is really needed to fully display the work you have done.
What I love most about the work Koto did with Kikin is the logo animation. At one point the ‘K’ from the wordmark is on its own and it does a cartwheel. In that motion you totally see it come alive. Just takes that really solid wordmark to another level.
→ SOMETHING I LEARNED
I’ve been working on a reach out deck for a little while now and to be honest of course I took way longer to do it than I truly took haha. One thing that was really important to me was that the viewer could access everything they needed from the PDF and not have to leave to go drop links into a web browser. This video shows how to use a plugin for Figma that allows you to embed clickable PDF links. If you aren’t using Figma in your work flow maybe this is an opportunity to take it for a spin! I really like it for stuff like this.
